About
Founder & Therapist

Lauren Parrish, LCSW
Welcome! I'm Lauren Parrish, LCSW, and I offer relational, attachment-based therapy in Wilson, NC. My core specialty is supporting early-childhood development and parent-child relationships through Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) interventions. I also work with teens and caregivers navigating emotional stressors, developmental transitions, and family changes.

I have worked in a wide range of clinical settings, including school-based therapy, a wellness clinic for teens, community-based services, and private practice. I completed extensive training in a specialized treatment model, Child Parent Psychotherapy, allowing me treat children under age 6. I am also a certified facilitator of an attachment-based parenting program, which informs my work alongside parents and caregivers.

My passion for early childhood mental health, play-based therapy, teens going through difficult transitions, and caregiver support, creates invaluable therapeutic connections needed to encourage meaningful and lasting change.

FAQs
What are your fees?
Self-pay rates are between $175-225 per session, depending on session type & duration.
Do you take insurance?
Not currently—but we offer limited sliding scale and can help explore options.
Who do you work with?
My primary specialty is working with young children (especially 0–6) and their caregivers to strengthen the parent–child relationship through attachment-based care. I also support teens and caregivers through emotional or relational transitions.
Do parents or caregivers stay in the room for therapy?
Primary caregiver involvement may be a requirement if your child is under the age of 6. Otherwise, you may wait in the waiting area for the duration of your child's session.
Do you have options for those who are not able to afford the self-pay rate?
A limited number of sliding-scale spaces are available. If these slots are full, you may be referred to another provider that accepts insurance or placed on a waitlist.
